The Draw, George Wright
Circa late 19th - early 20th century. Measures 11" length x 6" width.
George Wright (1860-1942) was well regarded in Britain as one of the best equestrian and sporting painters of his time. The images include one close up of the title and one close up of the artist's signature. In both, the color is enhanced for viewing. The print comes in its original, black frame (some chipping) with gold trim and red matte. The frame is from J.W. Frizzell of Baltimore, who was in business until 1908, approximately. The painting is likely no older than the turn of the century.
