Summer in Baltimore by Tom Miller (32" x 24" Screen Print)
This print, "Maryland Crab Feast" measures 32" across and 24" high, and is number 105 out of 195 lithographs screen printed by Tom Miller.
Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Tom Miller (1945-2000) is widely known for his sculptures, paintings and prints, and painted furniture in the bold, colorful, and wildly inventive style he called, "Afro Deco" -- and for the sly humor in his art.
His paintings are featured in the children's book, "Can a Coal Scuttle Fly?" part biography, part art book, with words by Camay Calloway Murphy, an arts and cultural activist in Baltimore.
A portion of the proceeds of the sales of these screen prints benefits Chase Brexton Health Services, Baltimore, MD, as per the artist's last wishes.
