The national parks and sites in Southern Maryland include:

History lovers can go back to where it all began in Historic St. Mary's City in St. Mary's County. The area is beautiful and rich with history. Explore the Museum of History and Archaeology; watch costumed interpreters depict what colonial life was like; learn about the culture of the indigenous tribes that lived in the area and discover how researchers use stories from the past to further enlighten the present.
