Rare, hand-colored print of the "map" of Mt. Vernon Place, drawn by Richard Q. Yardley, a political cartoonist for the Baltimore Sun. The original piece was commissioned by State Mutual Bank which, ironically, is the only institution on the map that no longer exists.

State Mutual Bank, Antique Row, Tyson St., Walters Art Gallery, Maryland Club, University Club, Engineers Club, Peabody Institute, Knights of Columbus, Maryland General Hospital, Maryland Historical Society, Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Belvedere Hotel & more.

Richard Q. Yardley He worked for the Sun from 1923 until he retired in 1972. Includes a "self-portrait" of Yardley and his cat in the bottom margin. The print is 16"H x 14"W. Framed size is approximately 21.5" H x 17.25" W.
